Our 2024 pilgrims on their tour of England and Scotland
Last year, our tours included a Catholic pilgrimage to England and Scotland for 37 people; a unique quilting tour of Ireland; a Methodist tour of England following in the footsteps of John Wesley; the delights of Wales; Scotland tours for singles; a garden tour of Shropshire and a ‘Hampton Court Flower Show’ garden tour for a group of Canadians.
Monaco Boys Choir at the Tower of London
Previously we have delivered concert tours for over 100 Californians – the Starfire Singers – as well as the prestigious Monaco Boys Choir. We have organised wine tours, food tours, walking tours, industrial heritage tours and much more. In fact, whatever your group’s interest, we can deliver a dream tour of the United Kingdom, Ireland or Europe.
Here’s a selection of our favourite group tours:
Our quilting tour culminated at magical Stonehenge
Janet Redler Travel was delighted to be chosen by Northcott Silk Inc. to deliver a very special quilting tour of Britain, celebrating 85 years of successful trading for North America’s premier supplier of fabrics for quilters, and 10 years of their best-known Stonehenge brand.
Focusing on the long and fascinating history of quilting in England and Wales, highlights of the tour included visits to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Jen Jones Welsh Quilt Centre, the American Museum in Bath, and Bowes Museum, which boasts Britain’s largest European textile collection. The culmination of the tour was an exclusive behind-the-ropes visitor experience at the world-famous prehistoric monument Stonehenge.
Our pilgrims on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland
We were delighted to create a tailor-made itinerary for a church group from California following St Cuthbert’s Way – one of Scotland’s greatest walking trails, which stretches for 63 miles through the Scottish Borders to Lindisfarne in the north of England. The tour also included visits to Iona – the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland, and the World Heritage city of Durham, final resting place of St Cuthbert.
St Peter’s Church, Blaenavon, South Wales
160 years ago, a miner and his young family left Blaenavon in Monmouthshire, Wales, for Scranton, Pennsylvania, to work in the mines there. Six generations later, the descendants of that family came back to follow their family history.
Using the records available, we were able to take the family to the streets their ancestors had lived in, we were able to explore the towns and villages where they had worked, the schoolhouse where they had studied and the church where their seven times grandparents had married.

A group of Wales enthusiasts from the United States and Canada immersed themselves in the culture and heritage of ‘the small country with a big heart’ on a tailor-made tour with Janet Redler Travel. After five days of learning the Welsh language on a residential course at Nant Gwrtheyrn in North Wales, the group spent a week exploring before arriving at the National Eisteddfod in Pontypridd.
