This iconic London palace was designed by John Nash, who also designed the slightly eccentric Royal Pavilion for King George IV in the seaside resort of Brighton.
St Paul’s Cathedral
A major building, clearly recognisable on the London skyline, St Paul's Cathedral was conceived by Sir Christopher Wren, who also designed the chapel at Pembroke College in Cambridge, one of Britain's finest cities.
Palace of Westminster
The seat of British democracy and a well known London landmark was designed by Sir Charles Barry, who also remodelled part of Harewood House near Leeds.
Natural History Museum
The imposing frontage of this London masterpiece is known to many visitors and architect Alfred Waterhouse designed the equally imposing Manchester Town Hall.
