Helen Moriarty from Janet Redler Travel & Tourism visited Attingham Park in Shropshire to see the snowdrops. Here is Helen’s blog about her day out.

What better way to take a break from the office than driving a short way to Attingham Park and taking a walk with my golden retriever in the grounds of a stunning stately home. Gloriously scenic at any time of the year, it is particularly inviting at snowdrop time.
Attingham Park was designed for the first Lord Berwick in the 1780s and sits in a picture perfect Humphrey Repton designed landscape. Visiting reminded me of the sample itinerary we prepared in 2016 to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of Capability Brown: ‘Picture Perfect Britain’. Our itinerary not only included several Brown designed landscapes, but also a visit to Attingham Park, as Repton, a contemporary of Brown, held a similar philosophy on landscape gardening. Repton was responsible for designing the deer park, planting the woodlands and parklands and building the ha-ha. All very much appreciated over 200 years later - what a legacy!
Now in the hands of the National Trust, the parkland at Attingham is open every day. Click here to visit the Attingham Park website.
