With exciting events planned across the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, we’re looking forward to the upcoming festivities!

The Jubilee celebrations in the coming days provide an exciting focus for tourism in the UK as visitors from all over the world flock to the events or follow live online and on television.

Joss Croft, Chief Executive of UKinbound, the organisation that represents the interests of the UK’s inbound tourism sector said: “We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This joyous event will provide a vital and welcoming boost to the UK’s tourism industry and businesses up and down the country. Many of my members are preparing to welcome international visitors from across the world, who are making a special visit to the UK during the Jubilee period.”

From street parties across the UK to London’s Trooping the Colour, a Service of Thanksgiving as well as a concert and pageant, the nation will come together over four days to mark The Queen’s 70-year reign.

More than 70,000 Big Jubilee Lunches are planned in the four UK nations over the weekend, with an expected ten million people set to sit down with their neighbours to celebrate Her Majesty’s momentous jubilee. In addition, big screens will be set up outdoors in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff so thousands of people can come together to celebrate.
