Over nine days this spring, the great gardens of North Wales will be coming together to host a festival of garden events and activities.
Set within some of the finest mountain, lake and coastal scenery in Britain, there will be dozens of unique garden events taking place.
Gardens such as Bodnant, Portmeirion, Plas Cadnant, Plas Brondanw and Plas Tan y Bwlch in North Wales, as well as The Dingle near Welshpool in Powys, are taking part in the festival.
Some of the many events will include behind the scenes guided tours, ‘meet the head gardener’ walks, gardening workshops, musical concerts, garden visits by vintage steam train, open air plays and historical re-enactments. There will also be gardening inspired lectures, photographic workshops, children’s trails, art and sculpture exhibitions, plant sales, themed garden lunches, and much, much more.
The festival dates deliberately coincide with late-spring flowering displays, which include rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, tulips and flowering cherries, making this one of the best times of year to visit the great gardens of North Wales.
