We would like to wish all our clients, partners and friends a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!
2023 has been incredibly busy for us, delivering more tours than ever before and welcoming new members to our team. As always, we’re incredibly grateful to all those who have directed business our way and we really do appreciate the positive feedback we have received.
Highlights of our year include a memorable pilgrimage in the steps of the Celtic saints across northern England and Scotland to the spiritual island of Iona in the Inner Hebrides; a landmark quilting tour which spanned the length and breadth of Ireland for two dozen Canadian enthusiasts, and a religious tour for nearly 40 Americans across England and Scotland.
Enjoying Loch Lomond in Scotland
We’re well known for our garden tours and this year we hosted garden lovers in all parts of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. There are so many fabulous gardens in these countries that our visitors often return and they always find something new to enjoy. In June we were please to deliver a garden tour in our idyllic home county of Shropshire in England – sometimes overlooked on the tourist map, but truly a hidden gem.
Each year, we organise more and more tours to other parts of Europe, beyond the UK and Ireland, and 2023 was no exception. As well as tours to Greece, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, we have arranged tours to France for a number of groups. The D-Day Beaches of Normandy are especially popular, just a short hop over the English Channel, and that is likely to be so in 2024 too, as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, which involved so many heroes from the USA, Canada and the UK.
Exploring magnificent Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute
As experts in providing tours of Wales, it goes without saying that we were delighted to deliver a fair few tours of the ‘small country with a big heart’. It’s rewarding for those of us who love the country to see how the profile of Wales has risen in recent years thanks to a couple of Hollywood stars and a certain Welsh soccer club!
Destinations such as Cornwall, Edinburgh, the Cotswolds and Yorkshire (for James Herriot tours!) are always in demand, and we were pleased to arrange a number of ancestry tours with our expert genealogist John Colclough, bringing family history to life for those who have British and Irish roots.
Visiting the Strawberry Field Bandstand on a tour of the The Beatles' Liverpool
2024 is looking bright as we continue to expand our team to deliver even more of the luxury and tailor-made tours we’re best known for, and to provide on-the-ground destination management services which allow our travel partners all over the world to have confidence that their clients are in safe hands and assured of the best care possible.
Whether your clients are looking for the holiday of a lifetime, an unforgettable family vacation, a grand tour of the UK and Ireland or a few nights in the finest hotels, we can help. We would like to thank all those who have already booked with us for 2024, as well as those who are hoping to.
Our website contains lots of information about the services we provide, but if you can’t see what you’re looking for, please do contact us. You can also keep up to date with our latest news on Facebook, X, Instagram or LinkedIn.
Happy holidays and our very best wishes for 2024!
