Over 80 million visitors can’t be wrong. This is how many people visit France each year, putting France in the top spot as the most popular vacation destination in the world. It’s no wonder, with vibrant cities, a rich heritage, tranquil beaches and enviable ski resorts.
The Louvre in Paris
Feel the romance of Paris with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre or the Moulin Rouge cabaret dancehall. Let us immerse you in the world of a Parisian. Browse the stalls of the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen, one of the greatest antique markets in the world.
Mont St Michel in Normandy
Marvel at the wonder of Mont St Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and soak up the history of the area at the Vaux le Vicomte, the inspiration for the Palace of Versailles and a path less travelled on the tourist trail. A summer's evening visit will be rewarded with the spectacle of 2000 candles illuminating the chateau and gardens.
Another World Heritage Site in France is the spectacular Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct which is one of France's most visited monuments. Built in the year 50 AD, this was highest aqueduct in Roman times and the structure winds between the cities of Uzès and Nîmes for over 30 miles through the mountains.
For wine lovers, we highly recommend a trip to one of the wine regions (of which France has many). One we love is the Rhone Valley, home to the Chateauneuf du Pape wineries.
